Michael Alan Ross is passionate about cars, about photography, about life.

He is a car guy and always has been. Because of that passion, he can capture the essence of a rare automobile at Pebble Beach or take our breath away with beautiful panoramic images of Speed Week at Bonneville.

That ability to see what turns us on about cars is why Michael's work has been featured in car advertising, auto magazines and corporate photography collections in the U.S. and in Europe. He will go to any length to get the perfect shot that epitomizes a particular car. Whether hanging out the back end of a race car to photograph for Audi, or driving across country in a legendary hot rod, Michael always gets the shot that makes us smile.

His attention to detail makes his fine art a collector's dream. To call the prints unequaled is an understatement. Even if the images do not stop you in your tracks as they do for me, the sheer perfection of the presentation will. Another reason, perhaps, car enthusiasts and car owners worldwide collect him.

Another reason he is a great photographer? He's a great guy to hang out with. What more can be said of a man than that? OK, I guess being authorized by Porsche of Germany to shoot their cars is another one. Being featured on the cover of European Car is yet another. Or maybe shooting Bruce Meyer's car collection could be it.

Whatever the reasons, we are lucky he shares his passion with us.
